PET POLICY

Alpha Real Estate is a pet friendly property management company!

We do everything we can to ensure that pets are cared for like family and that responsible pet owners are given the respect that they deserve!

 Our basic policy is that we have to meet and approve of your pet. We are looking for responsible pet owners and for the pet to be a "good citizen". If the home you wish to rent is in the city of Asheville you must register your pet and provide proof of city license. Buncombe County has a mandatory spay/neuter law so unless you purchase an unaltered pet permit we require your pet be spayed/neutered. Please also provide current shot records and vet reference.  Your pet may also need a positive reference from your previous landlord.  If your pet is approved the fees depend on the property and the pet. You can expect to pay anywhere from $250 to equal to one months rent for a refundable pet deposit . We do not charge non-refundable pet "fees" and we don't charge "pet rent." We strongly encourage individuals with dogs rent a property with a fenced yard. Because of the potential damage caused by under-stimulated dogs, we do not allow "outside only" dogs and under no circumstances do we allow the tying or chaining of a dog. If the property does not have a fenced yard we will discuss your situation. If after move in your pet creates a nuisense or is destructive you will be given 72 hours to remove the pet from the household.
